AAP (Advanced Academic Preparation)
The AAP program is designed for students that require ESL support during the first and second semesters of enrollment in undergraduate or graduate level courses or while working on specific academic projects such as thesis, research, or a publication. Classes start every Monday and meet 24 hours per week during 6 months. Students attend a combination of mentoring and elective ESL courses along with self study time.
During the first weeks of the program, the AAP Coordinator will develop an educational study plan along with the student and provide guidance to ensure each student is following a sound course of study and will be capable to attain course objectives or project completion. Through the semester, the AAP course coordinator, teachers and tutors will work with the student reviewing, developing and perfecting reading and comprehension skills, academic writing and the writing process; and/or Public speaking skills.

The testing and interview can be conducted online whenever the applicant is abroad. Transfer students must score a minimum of 170 on APPROACH placement test (corresponding scores on other nationally accepted standardized tests or successful completion of an intensive writing undergraduate/ graduate level course may be considered).
