ESL (English as a Second Language): programs in Boston
The English programs at Approach are designed for students who need high quality lessons on a flexible schedule and at an affordable price. Our core curriculum covers 12 general levels of instruction from beginner to advanced and includes grammar, reading, writing conversation, vocabulary, listening and pronunciation courses. Full time students attending 30 classes per week can complete one general level in as little as one month. Aside the core ESL courses, the ESL progam offers a great variety of elective class choices include grammar topics, pre-TOEFL,Accent reduction, Business English, American idioms, American literature, Song lyrics, American history and Pop culture among others.
Our ESL program schedule is the most flexible ever! We are the only school that lets you choose how many hours per week you want to study* and what time you want to come to school. Our classes start every Monday, and you may choose to focus on English for Academic Preparation, General English or Business English.

Quality and flexibility at affordable prices
On your first day, you will complete your registration, get your student ID and materials, take a placement test and undergo an interview with an instructor to be placed in one of our 12 ESL levels. Then you will be enrolled in your grammar, reading, writing, conversation, vocabulary, listening, and pronunciation courses. Each class lasts 50 minutes. Once you know your levels, you can select your schedule. This flexibility also gives you the option of taking only the subjects that interest you most. For example, you may choose to take more conversation lessons than grammar lessons, or more grammar lessons than vocaulary lessons, and so on.

Specialty programs for advanced ESL Students
The Approach’s ESL specialty program is designed for Advanced ESL students (levels 10+) interested in continuing to learn English as a Second Language while focusing on specific academic or professional objectives.
ESL STUDY GROUP: Designed for students who need to review topics from previous ESL levels and to close gaps in ESL instruction or strengthen individual skills from previous levels.
ESL WORK & STUDY: Designed for students who would like to participate in a non-paid internship to improve business English writing and/or communication skills in a real-life setting while experiencing the American work environment.
ADVANCED ACADEMIC PREPARATION: Designed for students that require ESL support during the first and second semesters of enrollment in undergraduate or graduate level courses or while working on specific academic projects such as thesis, research, or a publication.
ESL TEACHING INTERNSHIP: Designed for advanced students of English and native speakers certified to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) and/or EFL (English as a Foreign Language) at private language schools in the USA and abroad and wishing
